This is the day to really see Oxford. Whether you’ve never been to our beautiful city, or know your way round like a pro, there’s always something new to see. Afterwards, relax on the river and at the pub!
Oxford Tours
Option 1 – Walking Tour of Oxford
We’ll be poking our noses round beautiful libraries, churches, parks, colleges and even the odd shop. Oxford has more history in a few square miles than most places can boast, so put on your walking shoes and explore with us!
Option 2 – Guided Tour of the Ashmolean
Oxford University’s Ashmolean Museum is the oldest public museum in Britain, with origins in the 17th century. Nancy, our resident art historian, will be guiding our group through its strange treasures; from Guy Fawkes’ lamp to Egyptian Mummies to Pre-Raphaelite masterworks, there is something to fascinate everyone.
We will also be making a special visit to the museum’s print rooms, where original works by Leonardo Da Vinci and Raphael can be viewed up-close!
Punting and Pub
In the afternoon, we’ll meet at the Cherwell Boat House where we will play around on the river Thames in punts. (What is punting?)
Then we’ll picnic, chill out and dance on the lawn of the Victoria Arms.
