There are five Park and Ride sites around the edge of Oxford. They either cost £1 per day or they are free of charge. There are regular buses into the city centre. You can park at Thornhill or Water Eaton for up to 72 hours for free.
By Bicycle:
To live like a true Oxfordian, the best way to get around the city is by bicycle. If your host doesn’t have one you can borrow, you can hire a bike at Bainton Bikes www.baintonbikes.com
By Bus:
Oxford has two main bus companies, Oxford Bus Company and Stagecoach. Routes for both companies run into and out of the city centre. A Plus+Pass card allows unlimited travel with both of these companies and others. A 24 hour pass costs £6 and can be bought from the driver.
On Foot:
Oxford is a small city. It’s cheap, easy and fun to stroll the streets on foot. We have tried to locate the venues within walking distance of the city centre.
